We have already many confirmed speakers at the 4th Water Conference, which will take place at Alfândega Porto Congress Centre on 27th and 28th September 2017.
The Minister of Environment of Portugal will speak during the Opening Session of the Conference and he will share with us the vision of the Government of Portugal for the new challenges of the sector, considering all the technological developments of the market, and all his experience on the sector.
The President of the International Water Association, Diane D’Arras, will also speak at the 4th EIP Water Conference, such as Francis Li, Executive Director and VP of Beijing Enterprises Water Group, Carlos Borrego, Director of the Department of Environment and Planning of the University of Aveiro, and João Nuno Mendes, CEO of Águas de Portugal Group.
Filipe Araújo, Porto City Councillor for the Environment and Innovation, and Frederico Fernandes, CEO of Águas do Porto, will represent the hosting municipality, taking this amazing opportunity to show how Porto can manage all the urban water cycle in a single utility and always with the focus on its citizens and the people who visit the city of Porto.
The 4th EIP Water Conference will have nine panel sessions with several speakers with a vast experience in the water and technology sector, such as Gaëtane Suzenet, Managing Partner of Global Impact Partners; Frank Rogalla, Director of Innovation and Technology of Aqualia; Tomas Michel, President of WssTP; Aurora Seco, Chemist and Full Professor at the University of Valencia; Gabriel Anzaldi, Director of Eurecat’s Smart Systems Unit; Mona Arnold, Business Development Manager of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland; Maria João Freitas, Sociologist and Research Officer of LNEC; and Joan García, Professor of Environment Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya-BarcelonaTech.
Providing contributions for the innovation sector, we will also have Albert Jansen, Chair of Dutch Membrane Association; Christian Loderer, Project and Innovation Manager of Berlin Centre of Competence for Water; Will Maize, Senior Analyst of Bluefield Research; Eva Martinez, Responsible for the Smart Services Area of the Innovation and Technology Department of Aqualia; José Saldanha Matos, President of European Water Association; and Robert Schroder, Member of Cabinet of Commissioner Moedas for Research, Science and Innovation at the European Commission.
